I am happy to report the air conditioning has been fixed. Joey's is now a very comfortable place to eat. The dining room has been spruced up, as well. The pizza dough is a little different from what it was when I wrote my first review. It's breadier and less New York style, but it's still good. The pizza sauce is a bit sweeter--although this could be merely the character of the latest tomato crop. The pizza is tasty. Even the "colossal meat" version comes out with very little grease--a sign of properly precooking and draining meats before adding them to the pie. Staff seems to be completely new, very efficient and quite friendly. This is a fine place for lunch.

My wife introduced me to this place and it is wonderful! If you only like Chicago style pizza or New York Style then this isn't for you. It is real Italian style pizza and cuisine. I recommend the chicken alfredo pizza because the sauce is excellent. The red sauce is sweet and done superbly. This place is truly one of Oklahoma City's best kept secrets. A gem of a place with nice hospitable people. The service is great and the atmosphere is cozy.

this is truly the unique pizza in the city, my favorite place when I have those Italian cravings...you have to try this place

My coworker and I discovered this little pizza place and have been going back ever since our first taste. We tried the "Alfredo di Pollo" (chicken alfredo) pizza on our first visit and have been back dozens of times since. We love that pizza so much that until our last visit, we haven't been able to bring ourselves to order anything else. The alfredo sauce is so flavorful and creamy, we just crave it. On our last visit, we ordered the special of the day, beef ravioli. It was also pretty great. The red sauce is sweet and the garlic bread is a perfect accompaniment. The prices are reasonable, too. My friend and I usually share a small pizza which is only $8.99. We also love the service. The owner knows us by name and it feels like we're in a small town joint.

Joey's is fantastic! I have been there twice and the pizza here is phenomenal. Both times I have gotten the Herbivorous Maximus, a veggie pizza with onions, mushrooms, broccoli, carrots (sounds weird but it's great), and tomatoes. Toppings are great, sauce is great, crust is great. A friend and I split a large pizza, which was more than enough for the two of us, and with sodas it added up to about $10 each. A+

please let me save You some time end energy and offer my opinion on what is the best pizza restaurant in this part of OKC is...Joey's Pizzeria ! There is a nice atmosphere, restaurant is clean and welcoming, the staff members and the owner are friendly and competent, their food quality and taste are consistent, prices are reasonable, they are kids friendly, and you leave happy and wanting to visit again. The pizza is really good, traditional Chicago crust with a tangy, flavorful sauce and just the right amount of cheese. They offer traditional toppings, but they also feature specialty pizzas-my favorite: Spinach Alfredo (best alfredo sauce in OKC!) with feta cheese and bacon mmm ! They also offer great salads. My favorite is Acadian Salad -Cajun style chicken or shrimp, romaine and iceberg lettuce, baby spinach , onions , fresh garlic and lots of Tabasco sauce with tomato and Romano cheese with 1000 island !!! and will not forget their toasted subs ( best Philly cheese I ever had...$ 5.99 ) and fresh pastas served with their famous garlic bread and side salad. Bellissimo ;o)

Food: excellent blend of original Italian recipes for the dough and toppings accommodated to familiar American taste. Pizza's have awesome crust, soft and fresh. The dough is freshly made daily. What I like about this place is that if you do not find what you like on the menu, chef will go out of her ways to make custom pizza you like. I personally prefer original Italian recipes such as margherita, fungi, quattro stagioni (four seasons) - and they would always make it! Secret Italian touch to every pizza, oregano flakes, must try. But must ask for it since it is not on the menu.
Atmosphere: friendly, lively and familiar. Feels like family. Staff and chef act like friends, you feel comfortable there, no pressure, no white gloves.  I’ve read some of the reviews and one mentioned arguing in the kitchen, which does not seem to be happening. Owner and some staff are originally from Europe and sometimes they use their native tongue to communicate, it might sound harsh but that is the way their language sounds. I’ve never had any problems with temperature being too hot in summer either. Do come and dine in and experience true Italian flavor from food to atmosphere, to ambient. Also, cool thing is if you’re in the market for genuine Italian food, some exotic olive oils and lady fingers as well as teas can be found here. Do come and check it out. Bring family and friends and enjoy. I will always be back to this place.
